Welcome to the Natural Health Choices blog! I want to start by defining what I call the Natural Health Choices Paradigm. By this I mean a widespread shift in the way many people are *choosing* to take control over their own health and well being.
There are so many theories, products and systems that claim to be the best way to take care of yourself. Many times, one “expert” will contradict another. For example, in the realm of diet and nutrition, there are opinions that a vegetarian diet is best, that a vegan diet (no animal products) is best, raw foods, macrobiotic, high protein, low carb, low fat vs. “good” fats, alkaline and so forth. Some of these are compatible with one another, some are not. Many people feel overwelmed and are tempted to give up, or just eat whatever they want. There is a better way, but this involves becoming your own expert and finding out what makes you feel better!
To say that no one system is right for everyone is not earth-shatteringly original, but it’s a good place to start. I want to stress that this blog is meant to be a helpful source of information, but it is not intended to be pushing one particular system or point of view. Therefore, you will have to be responsible for how you use this information. And, of course, nothing said here should be construed as a substitute for the advice of a health care practitioner.
Having said that, I invite you to read and watch what flows through here, maybe try something that sounds good to you. And feel free to give me your feedback, so I can have a better idea of what kind of information you want and what does and doesn’t work!
